Council was excited to be part of some important tourism announcements today from Deputy Premier and Local Member for Gippsland South, The Hon Peter Ryan and Eastern Victoria MLC Danny OBrien. The Great Southern Rail Trail’s (GSRT) ‘Blackspur’ missing link at Koonwarra has finally received funding from the State Government for the Rail Trail to be completed. In attendance were the dedicated volunteers from the GSRT Committee, tourism and business representatives. The Rail Trail once completed will be 69km in length from Leongatha to Welshpool. The Deputy Premier also opened up the new visitor amenities at Agnes Falls scenic reserve. Here some pics from the day.
