Count Vlah appreciates the fact that he is not in high school now... with the iphones and the twitters and tiny little attention spans and constant need for stimulation and interaction. Its exhausting!!! Nobody multitasked in Count Vlahs high school! It was one boring activity at a time...for a century... AND WE LIKED IT! And we didnt abbreviate every little thing we said either... in fact we made it LONGER! If we wanted to say Oh My God, we didnt say OMG we said I Am Expressing Myself In A Shocked Manner That Invokes The Deity Of Your Choice!. Count Vlah cant understand why the young ghoulies of today need to be in so much of a rush! Thats why Detention sends Count Vlahs cape spinning around his widow-peaked head! Its everything at once, in internet shorthand, moving faster than any brain over 23 can possibly process! But that doesnt mean Count Vlah wont re-tweet it! This genre-leaping, plot stacking, absurdity spewing mass of kinetic self-awareness has plenty to bury an axe into! Even if you cant follow the plot or keep up with the dialogue or nail down exactly what THE HELL IS GOING ON, or even WHAT KIND OF MOVIE YOU ARE ACTUALLY WATCHING, theres enough style in this Scott Pilgrim/ Scream/ John Hughes, early 90s love-fest, that tosses in Man-Fly Jocks with TVs for Hands, Time-Traveling Bears Abducted by Aliens, Mind Swapping Mother/ Daughter Combos, and oh yeah, the occasional Axe Murder and Suicide Bomb, to keep your ADD riddled millennial brain occupied for 90 minutes with nary an opportunity to post a selfie to Instagram.
