Count the universe as “1”. If there is at least one then there - TopicsExpress

Count the universe as “1”. If there is at least one then there must have been a “first”. For there to be a first there had to be a prior stage of “none”. The universe was born from nothingness. This undeniable fact is contrary to the laws of physics as we know them. The rules of existence do not apply beyond the boundaries of being. At least one universe has been born from nothingness. This can be verified by the fact that there is at least one entity to contemplate the nature of existence. That being is me. I know that I exist because I am available to ask the question. The exact nature of my being is debatable, but whatever I am there is no doubt that I do exist, and I call the place where I exist “the universe”. If one universe can be born from nothingness, then others could as well. Nothingness has no limitations. It seems unlikely to me that my sentience is the only one that exists and that this universe is the only one to have ever formed. It is possible, but I don’t have an ego strong enough to support the idea. Instead I choose to believe that within the sea of nothingness exists a multiverse full of universes. Option one: There is only one universe. What you see is what you get. Option two: There are many universes and they are exactly identical to one another, thus their existence is of no consequence. Option three: There are many universes and they are different from one another. Given an eternity of time and no limitation of space, if there are universes differing from one another even so much as by the degree of a single sub atomic particle, then eventually every possibility will come to be reality. What this means is that everything anyone has ever imagined, ever will imagine, and even more things that no one will ever imagine, are all reality somewhere in the multiverse. As a recreational daydreamer I have imagined many, many, many things. I am not the only one with an imagination. Consider the implications: Heaven. Hell. Gods. Angels. Demons. Dragons. Faeries. Unicorns. Killer robots. Benevolent robots. Aliens. Alternative Earths. Super heroes. The return of dinosaurs. Dinosaurs evolved in a world without humans. Vampires. Werewolves. Zombies. Ghosts. Bikini Bottom. Star Trek. Star Wars. Hogwarts. Middle Earth. Anime. Alternative versions of ourselves living different lives based on decisions we didn’t make. Within an infinitely diverse multiverse with an eternity of time all of these concepts and more must eventually be reality. If all ideas are reality then the following must be true: We can leave here and go to the other universes. A persistent thought occupies my mind: How?
