“Counted Worthy” 2 Thessalonians 1:3-5 NIV 3 We ought always to thank God for you, brothers and sisters, and rightly so, because your faith is growing more and more, and the love all of you have for one another is increasing. 4 Therefore, among God’s churches we boast about your perseverance and faith in all the persecutions and trials you are enduring. 5 All this is evidence that God’s judgment is right, and as a result you will be counted worthy of the kingdom of God, for which you are suffering. As Christians, we should be constantly striving to reach the next level in our walk with Christ, always challenging ourselves to be more than we are. Faith is not some magical “thing” we achieve one day and then that’s it. Faith requires constant cultivation. As we seek God through His word, apply His truths to our everyday lives and recognize His work in our lives our faith will continue to grow and become stronger and stronger. The strength of our faith becomes evident though the troubles we face and by demonstrating our faith, we encourage and support those who witness it. The ultimate goal is to be counted worthy, to hear Him say “Well done my good and faithful servant”. Through your sorrows and trials, keep looking towards that brighter day that He has for you on you horizon. Love you guys.
