Counter-Sales Clerk-Epping 2 Northern Suburbs, Western Cape VACANCY: COUNTER-SALES CLERK – EPPING SA Metal Group is a large privately-owned metal recycling company with its headquarters in Cape Town and operations in the Western Cape. The Group has a Counter Sales Clerk position for a committed, hardworking and responsible individual to work within the Real Steel department at our Epping Branch. The successful candidate will report to the Real Steel Manager. Responsibilities will include, but is not limited to: Taking telephonic orders, processing orders and following through to the delivery stage. Contacting customers for orders and specials Checking market for pricing structures Assisting customers in the shop and at the sales counter. Data capture and general admin duties Handling of cash Sourcing and buying out of stock, non-standard items Assisting with quarterly stock takes Assisting in other areas should the need arise All administrative duties related to inventory control Applicants must have the following qualifying criteria: Excellent telephone manner. Self-motivated and results orientated. Willingness to learn a wide variety of steel, hardware and security products. Self-starter who is able to work in a fast paced environment. Accpac experience would be an advantage. Willingness to work overtime when required Grade 10 education required.
