Counting my blessings #48 - Matt Bigham. Its appropriate that I talk about Matt now since I just wrote about Josh Lamb. They worked together at my company, very well I might add. Matt stayed on a few months after Josh left and managed the warehouse. He fell in love and moved to Sevierville to be close to her and as a result, left the company too. Matt just fulfilled a lifetime dream by hiking the Appalachian Trail from Georgia to Maine. He conditioned himself for it for months. This is one serious workout-a-holic. Dont let his small stature catch you off-guard. He is into martial arts, and I am confident he could take down pretty much anyone. Matt, too, helped with my yard. He and Josh did the first complete clean out of the jungle at my house. Then, later Matt mowed my yard as needed (he lived nearby). Matt has a temper that has amused me (sorry Matt), and you can tell because his face gets bright red while hes trying to squelch it. He is also meticulous, detail-oriented, and takes pride in his work. He is an interesting guy with an interesting background. I am proud to have met and known him though hes not in my daily life anymore. I delighted in keeping up with his progress and seeing pictures while he was on the Trail. Matt is loyal to his friends and he carefully stood guard and protected me for several weeks when I distributed payroll as we had an unpredictable and volatile employee (ex now thank goodness) who I felt threatened by. He probably doesnt appreciate how comforted and safe I felt by his (and Isaacs) watching me safely off the property each Friday. Im happy that hes so happy. Matt Bigham was a blessing to me, he is my friend, my former co-worker....and, like Josh (I wont embarrass him by saying I love him)... I LIKE him a LOT!
