Counting my blessings... Yesterday was my 6 month CT scan and review of my back by my Neurosurgeon. L4 is now a cage with bone grafting and held in place by upper and lower pins on each side. The good news is that fusion and bone growth are both taking place... even with my RA and being on Steroids. Supplemented by Calcium, a bone density stimulator, and Forteo bone building shots... and plenty of good behavior (boy is that difficult!) we are making progress towards healing. If you want to experience awkwardness.. try not bending, twisting, stooping, lifting, pulling, pushing,,, Puts a new perspective on mobility!! And I am grateful for what I do have... which is a lot... Thank you for all your prayers... Much love.
