Counting the Omer Malchus is the coronation of God, the total permeation and integration of Godliness into this world. It is the fruit of yesod, foundation. Recognizing the holistic nature of Gods kindness and His total involvement in this world is malchus se-be-chesed. Action Point: This is your chance to give something to God which goes beyond what is expected or necessary. Be innovative and creative in your relationship with God. Saying the Blessing Monday Night - April 21st: Before counting, stand and say the following blessing: Baruch ata Adonai, Eloheinu melech ha-olam, asher kidshanu bemitzvosav ve-tzivanu al sefiras haomer. Blessed are You, God, King of the Universe, Who made us holy with His commandments, and commanded us on the counting of the Omer. After the blessing, one recites the appropriate day of the count: Today is 7 days of the Omer. It is typical to read Psalm 67 (which in Hebrew has 49 words) after reciting the count. Psalm 67: For the leader. With stringed instruments. A psalm. A song: God, be gracious to us, and bless us. May he make his face shine toward us, (Selah) so that your way may be known on earth, your salvation among all nations. Let the peoples give thanks to you, God; let the peoples give thanks to you, all of them. Let the nations be glad and shout for joy, for you will judge the peoples fairly and guide the nations on earth. (Selah) Let the peoples give thanks to you, God; let the peoples give thanks to you, all of them. The earth has yielded its harvest; may God, our God, bless us. May God continue to bless us, so that all the ends of the earth will fear him.
