Country Song Writers Lounge is proud and honored to feature songwriter Of The Week Teddy Sadler. This artist and writer had been around a long long time folks and he has done it all. Teddy Sadler I sing and perform classic country music,I have been performing since I was eight years old,I joined the Air Force in 1954 and was stationed in the Philippines where I learned to play guitar and started writing songs, after returning to the states in 1957 I begin performing in night clubs bar rooms theaters and auditoriums, I moves to Nashville Tennessee. In late 1957 where I continued to perform and write songs I resided there until 1966. Then I moved to Santa Monica California and continued to perform there until 1968, from there I moved to Lincoln Park Michigan and performed there and on the road until 1975, I then moved to Mountain Home Arkansas where I live today and still perform the good old classic country music.... I have been a member of BMI since 1965... I was born in Cookeville Tennessee, I resided there until I Joined the Air Force in 1954 spending 18 months in the Philippines, I began writing songs playing the guitar and performing at some local venues, after returning to the states I started performing country music in clubs on Radio & TV and in atriums across this country and in Canada, and I have continued for the last 50 plus years and still love it as much as I did when I started, I have performed with some of the biggest names in country music one of them being Hank Williams Sr. In 1948 when I was eleven years old, I also performed in Branson Missouriat The Branson Star Theatre and on Center Stage at the Branson Mall Complex and on the world famousLouisiana Hayride, I have written several songs and my current release is called ...Hank Patsy Willie And Me... In 1965 Teddys songwriting skills were acknowledged by Country singer Jimmy Walker when he recorded Go Back Little Tear written by Teddy Sadler released by Walker Records .. I moved to Arkansas in 1975 and got married in 1977, I continued to play clubs and shows until about 1990 when I stopped playing music for a living, I came out of retirement about 3 years ago and now I play four or five shows a month. Some of my favorite artist are George Jones,Hank Williams Merle Haggard Willie Nelson Ray Price. Tanya Tucker,Loretta Lynn, Patty Loveless,Terry Clark,and the list goes on..... There is no end to the experiences Teddy has shared in the country music business over the years. He has lived and worked in an era of country music that most of us can only imagine meeting the legends we all have heard of that make Classic Country what it is today
