County Demi-goddess 411: The way our county governments are being - TopicsExpress

County Demi-goddess 411: The way our county governments are being run leaves much to be desired. Its like after the governor makes his decision, residents must not question but wait until the end justifies the means! Some sycophants have acquired the skills of defending governor decisions that they have no idea about just because the incumbent is their favorite! Not me... If I may ask, if county governments do not consider public opinion and participation in their budgeting and projects, so you propose that we live with that for the entire five-year in office and punish them by not electing them, after their term is over? What is the purpose of decentralized functions of national government to the counties? The reasons for devolution is to bring public participation and decision making to the grassroots and the oversight thereof! Hope I missed something from your post! County decisions belongs to the people not by representation but by direct involvement and must be petitioned by citizens whenever they go against their wishes at any level. Its not the preserve of the governor, his ministers or county representatives. No wonder many residents seem unrepresented by Senate or the county leadership and demand scrapping of some offices they elected unanimously! Any barbs? Pinchme.
