County Government of kiambu today committed to garbage collection in Kikuyu Town & Dagorretti market,but were putting on Notice to private garbage collectors that we wont tolerate their illegal act of dumping. Our environment officers will evoke EMCA 1999 Act where fine for dumpers is 150k-1million,on the other hand were also encouraging public private partnership btw registered groups & County Govt.after issuance of license from Enviro Department.Am appealing to residents around civilian hotel to report any vehicles, handcarts or individuals practising the vice.
