Couple of days ago, i went with my dear Noor Harazeen to al-Zanna area east of Khan Younes city to meet the family of the two-month-old Rahaf Abu ‘Asi who died of pulmonary obstruction as a result of the freezing cold last week. Their house was bombarded during the 51-day of Israeli aggression on the Gaza strip. and due to lack of shelter, Abu ‘Asi family continued to live in their damaged house despite the destruction. The family reportedly sealed their house windows and the holes all over the ceiling using plastic bags in an attempt to keep the cold and the rain out. but this couldnt save their newborn infant Rahaf. However, with the help of great people we were able to temporarily rent them a decent flat. their current situation cannot be described in words. no one should live and suffer such a way, children shouldnt die of cold, they shouldnt suffer and pay just for being born here or there. . . . For me, i always wanted to get my study aboard but for many reasons i couldnt. However, i beleive that everything happens for a reason, and i am now preparing a small architecture office for me here, and Abu ‘Asi family will be my first work inshallah. they deserve a decent warm home and i will do my best for this. Once again i would love to thank my dear Noor for her great work. and to everyone helped with this. i am so glad to be part of it. Alhamdulillah.
