Couple of interesting images I shot from a balloon flight assignment up over Coraki. Fascinating early morning light on the landscape. Cape Byron in the background. The Coraki image shows clearly where the Richmond and Wilson Rivers meet. Ive read that the old sailing ships and early steamers had to negotiate a three point turn to enter into the Wilson River. Busiest year on the river was 1896 when there were 212 shipping movements on the Rivers. The second image is rather abstract depiction of a wetland system, that is so prevalent on the sub-tropical Northern Coast.
