Couple of weeks left. Kinda bittersweet to have to go back stateside. Everything is just simple out here. I really dont want to go back to America. Id rather stay deployed tbh. But that is not an option so I guess Ill just deal and come home. Had a lot of interesting life experiences out here. Seen a lot of.....shit. But its been eventful in any case. So I leave you with a few tidbits. 1. Your desire to join Special Forces is never higher then when you see them riding a dirt bike around their compound doing wheelies in civilian clothes while youre sitting in full kit burning your own poop. On your birthday. 2. One time, a convoy came to complete halt and there was silence over the radio before someone came on and said, Guys, theres a black sheep out in the field. How much trouble would we get in if we stole it? 3. For some reason, everyone teaches the kids to flip people off and convinces them its a greeting like a handshake. We tried to tell them not to do it and they just threw rocks at us. Some random parent then ran outside and took off his own shoe, mid-sprint and began to beat the kid over the head with it. The kid turned around and ran back inside his house with his dad still hitting him with a sandal. 4. I one time pulled security with Danny Trejo. The middle eastern brother anyways. We didnt know what he was speaking to us when he talked so we gave him subtitles and every line was a quote from one of his movies. Mostly from Death Race. 5. All bugs are 700x bigger and 700x more deadly. But they suicide themselves into doors and just ram into lights until they die. So basically, regular bugs. Just all jacked up. Its been a neat culture to get an experience with. Overall I dont have anything really negative to say. Yeah there are dickhead extremists here, but they suck at shooting and tbh, Id loop them in the same category of retard as I would with any American religious extremist. Theres no difference as far as I can tell. But that may just be me. See you guys soon.
