Courage A solemn sadness reigns. Hung round with dusky curtains, My short jacket has sprouted tails. and the bats wing flutters in my face, in the swaying of the elms I hear the sigh of the dying day. bearing hidden secret beneath my muddy waves. common-sense enough for all; women the same.. boyhood passes away. solemnly to smoke again. cunning and disbelief have crept into my hearts since preshaving days trying to come up with a business model that the market might embrace. I Watch cows for a neighbor,and manage to get time to make engines of clay, Im painfully ashamed. loafing in liquor shops during the holidays, While playing games I ate salt pork and rye and Indian bread, three times a day, and lose the fearful sacrifice I made. I Rules little things as great And take two or three minutes a day to rank myself in a table by noting the exercise of each faculty for the day. I have been cowardly where I should have been brave, the path to success is open to those who obey. I have mastered of good and gain, And lust after anything, that requireth the secret of walls and veils. By the pride deposed and the passion slain, As this tectonic shift reverberates through the whole distribution chain. I seek for myself private retiring places, as country villages, the sea-shore,and mountains. as my breath and life hath its proper fountain; My square jaw indicates courage.
