Court Day was sad this year. Where are all the booths full of antiques? Where are the booths with handmade articles and those gorgeous handmade quilts? There were very few booths with handmade crafts. Im afraid the Court Day we all grew up attending, and the memories we made taking it all in, are a thing of the past. I had some vendors, whose booths I always frequented, tell me last year that they wouldnt be back this year...and they arent. Why? Because of the price they had to pay to rent a spot. Im afraid the charges were high, and evidently still are. Did anyone else notice the number of empty areas? And the crowd was not nearly as large as in the past. I remember when it was shoulder to shoulder. Weather cannot be blamed because we did have one sunny day. The rest were not that bad. Anyone else have thoughts about Court Day?
