Court Rejects PDP Motion to Use Soldiers For Inspection of last election Materials in ekiti. The Election Petition Tribunal siting in Ado Ekiti today rejected Peoples Democractic Party (PDP) surbodinate motion exparte to use member of Nigeria Army (Soldiers), for the inspection of INEC electoral materials used for the last concluded June21, election in Ekiti. All Progressives Congress, has earlier filed motion exparte for the inspection of the material which the court granted. This Promted PDP to file this motion in bid to pursue their defence. strangely it appears in the motion that PDP requested courts approval on the use of Soldiers. This is an insult to judicial proccess to use soldjer to monitor just paper while boko is there taking over northern part of the country gradually. This is the way they assaulted the process of the last Governorship election in Ekiti where some APC leaders were whisked, detained and also giving house arrest. In his ruling, court argued that, the use of Soldier in any election is not a productive conduct but a characteristic insignia of intimidation. The court, however rejected the motion.
