Wait, because work that is being done in various laboratories and research centres will be released; perhaps selectively at first and then in a more coherent flow; and this will hypothesize a history that is diametrically different from what we have been taught to accept. Having said this, do consider, that perhaps, our present ruminations on dating Zarathustra may completely be erroneous; and I do not say this lightly. I will also say the most of our established history, as interpreted in the last one and a half centuries, has been through colonial political-academic mandates; and after independence, this mantle fell upon leftist-secularist scholarship to adopt. The process has begun in which most of this brand of scholarships propositions and rigidly held facts have begun being discredited. The first to fall has been the Aryan Invasion of India. The Aryan Invasion of India is a figment of imagination propagated by Eurocentric socio-political mandates; and when I say this, I say this as Indian and not a so-called right wing Hindu that everyone today has learnt to treat with all the contempt attached only to criminals, discrediting him without even giving him a chance to present his argument. The Indo-Aryan Phase of History is older than the hills. It is not limited to understood assumptions of histories and empires; and to categorisations that this was Elamite, and that was Persian; this was Vedic and that was Central European: all these are mere markers created as man has struggled to identify, understand, categorise and codify the enigma that constitutes the Aryans, Iranians and Indians. Markers are never truths, but are bearers of illumination, which may point to an unpalatable truth. Man will never find Aryans in his traditional haunts for them in hypothetical central Asian stem lands; the Aryans are not a race, tribe or clan as mankind has been taught that they were. And to hunt the Aryans therein would be to subscribe to a barefaced lie dignified by years of tradition. I will even say this, that the Indo-Iranian Civilisation that you all know and that we collectively love to bits, is but a legacy - a leftover from former times that once were extant in an awesome and hoary antiquity, far removed from our understanding and thereby acceptance. The greatest of Aryan Seers and Kings were not originators of Original Aryan Thought, but were merely followers of a tradition that was already ancient even in times of hoary ancientness. That age will begin making more sense in future years, when scholarship re-adjusts itself to realities that it has, hitherto, tried to suppress, since these realities and their evidences do not fit within established academic paradigms; yes, my friends - there may be a more accurate outline of history in the Shahnameh than in many academic assumptions. And you and I, ladies and gentlemen, are not alone in this struggle; for even scientists and research scholars who struggle today, honestly, to rewrite history, struggle also against their traditional leftist, secularist and colonial educational inculcation and legacy. I do realise, as an afterthought, that leftist, secularist and colonial are mere jargon to most; but I use them to propose a very real situation that India today debates. Many of you will find my assertions arrogant in the least; many will find them outrageous; some, even offensive. I assure you, with the word of a gentleman, that I have no intention of being so; and perhaps my tone reflects the assurance of my subject rather than any hidden mandate. I am from one of Indias pioneering scholarly families that possesses Indias foremost scholars. Some of their teachings, beliefs and doubts have filtered unto me. They know Indo-Persia better than armchair enthusiasts abroad, who are dignified by their powerful sponsors, and are thus considered scholars. Ending this, my friends, the real history of the world, and especially the fascinating Aryan phase, is far removed from all accepted theories and facts doing rounds in various establishments. We experience today a ferment in re-reading and re-interpreting existential evidences and being pointed to more. Genetics supports this endeavour intricately; so does astronomy, geology and a host of other empirical methodologies. I believe you will find startling revelations in pages of data now evolving.
