Courtesy Post for Dina Taher in West Knoxville. You ever so blatantly invaded my home. You nonchalantly busted in through my front door and waltzed around my brand new home. A home I moved into just three short weeks ago. A home that I’m sure you noticed still echoes whenever you talked about how to carry the heavy stuff outside, because I still lack so much furniture and décor. A home that probably disappointed you at first, because I had such slim options for the taking. But, you sure did help yourself to what was there, didn’t you? I understand the holidays are rapidly approaching, and sometimes this season tends to make people stress or panic. Maybe you were down and out and made a poor judgment call on how to give your family a good Christmas. Maybe you’re just a couple of high school kids rebelling for the first time. Maybe you watched me move in my tangibles and have been patiently waiting for the perfect time to strike. Maybe this was all just a bad dream and I’ll wake up tomorrow laughing about the craziness that could never happen to me. Whatever your reason, I don’t care. In fact, if you took it, you need it more than I do. So, keep all the replaceable items, sell them for a profit, give them as presents, do whatever you want with them. I just want the ONE irreplaceable thing that you robbed from me. You stole my dog, therefore you stole my heart. Mellow is a very takeable dog. He’s an overly friendly malti-poo. I’ve always said that he thinks everyone loves him as much as I do because he gets so excited to see and be around other people. So, I’m sure he greeted your intrusion with excitement, wagging his tail, nudging his snout into your legs and pawing you for attention. He probably happily trotted behind you as you ransacked my home. I bet he even brought you his favorite ball to play fetch together. Through his innocent brown eyes, he instantly made a new friend. And it is obvious you felt the same way about him, since he’s currently in your possession.
