Courtesy of KRUN... Connan Doyle Walker, 89, of Ballinger, formerly of Winters, passed away Friday, August 29, 2014. He was born January 6, 1925 in Big Spring and lived there until age 19. He served in the US Army during World War II. He married Margie Fannin on November 19, 1949 in Hobbs, NM. He worked as a Predator Animal Damage Control Agent retiring to Winters in June 1988. He was a member of the Assembly of God Church. He is survived by his wife Margie Walker; 3 children: Gregory Doyle Walker and wife Patty of Georgetown, Miller Henry Walker and wife Eloise of Blackwell, and Donna Doylene Blackshear and husband Roy of Andrews; as well as 5 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 2, 2014 in the Winters Funeral Home Chapel with Randy Holtzclaw and Kenneth Plumbley officiating. Burial will follow at Lakeview Cemetery under the direction of the Winters Funeral Home.
