Take the #Brutality of Saudi Arabian security officers and individuals from the #Manfuhah neighbourhood of #Riyadh out of the equation...since more than enough is posted about it. Rather ask Why Ethiopian migrants are prominently affected by the crack down? Then, you will find that Suadi Arabia has been #reasonable and #consistent throughout the process preceding the event. And despite the killings and mistreatment, the process was consistent and predictable to all, including #Ethiopians. 1. As the new employment law Saudi Arabia (intended to reduce unemployment by 12% for native saudis), #4,000,000 migrants obtained work permits before last Sundays deadline. Many #Ethiopians #failed to get the work permit. Whatever the reason for them not to get the work permit, after the amensty expires, they ought to know that staying in Saudi Arabia will be #illegal. 2. Nearly 1,000,000 Bangladeshis, Indians, Filipinos, Nepalis, Pakistanis and Yemen left Saudi Arabia in the past #3 #months. For instance, 30,000 #Yemenis left Saudi to their home country within #10 #days before the deadline of the amensty. Whereas around 17,000 Ethiopians are yet to be repatriated in the coming days. #How many Ethiopians left Saudi Arabia before the amensty expires? 3. When the amensty expires and the police starts to repatriate these Ethiopians by force, mainly around #Manfuhah neighbourhood of Riyadh, they response was protest against it causing damage in both sides. Then, polices response was shoting them down!! So, except the #brutality of the Saudis, the #whole #wrong is with us, Ethiopians!!...be it illegal ...failure to obey they law - mind it, in someone elses nation....imagine it happened in our country! Therefore, the Saudis can only be blamed for their #brutal and #disproportionate use of force against illegal migrants! Therefore: The main Reason for many Ethiopians [migrating] into Saudi Arabia illegally......is the same.....reason [why] Ethiopians suffer most in Saudi Arabia,........which is also the same........reason that makes Ethiopia stagnant in a vicious circle of Poverty - IGNORANCE!!!
