Courtesy posting: When we found Darlene, we took her in. We got rid of all her parasites, cleaned her up, fully vaccinated her, and had her spayed. I have done all I can do. I can only keep her for another week. After that, I will have no choice but to take her to a shelter. I DO NOT WANT TO DO THIS. I really dont. If anyone knows anyone who might be interested in giving her a forever home, they need to contact me immediately. Meet Darlene. Darlene was recently found in the middle of a road, where my daughter witnessed her nearly being hit by a motorcycle. She stopped her car and called her to come. Darlene ran to her as fast as she could and Sarah brought her home. Darlene was covered in ticks and fleas. We got rid of them and took her to the vet for vaccinations and a heartworm test, which was negative. We took her to get spayed and she is doing well. Darlene needs a home. We have 4 dogs which is my husband’s limit. Darlene weighs approximately 25lbs and is around 2 years old. She is almost housebroken. She is a very friendly, mellow & intelligent dog. She’s playful, but not rowdy or destructive. She LOVES squeak toys. She would make an excellent pet for a senior. She gets along well with other dogs. Don’t know about kids or cats because I don’t have any, but I have seen no aggressive behavior from her. She has a deformed foot, which was seen by a vet. The vet said that she was most likely born with it. It doesn’t appear to bother her, but she doesn’t run as fast as a normal dog. She looks like a schnauzer/Lhasa mix. From the looks of it, she was kept by someone who fed her, but had nothing else to do with her. Here she gets treats, is allowed in the house, and gets lots of attention.
