Coward!! Irresponsible!! Olodo!!! These were the names McAnthony was called for not meeting up with his promise on Thursday. Hmmmm. It is well; even in the well. Anyway, for those that called me names and said I have been expelled from the Youth Council (as if I cared) should hide their face in shame cos it has never one day occured to me that we are going to have people with miopic and self-centred minds at the helm of affairs in the Youth Council. After my promise last week, I got series of calls; some were threats while most of them were pleas; but, it will benefit the entirety of the youths in Ajegunle to stand up, fight and reclaim what rightfully belongs to them after the sell out party sold Ajeromi-Ifelodun Local Chapter of the Youth Council into the hands of the politicians. I have learnt to move on with my life and by the special grace of God I am doing extremely well far than when I sacrificed my time, life, financies and little resources to see that there was a Strong and vibrant youth organisation in AJIF. I even lost good friends in the process just because I was protecting someone I was not supposed to. From the time of Dike Darlington and Tony Ikeh Johnson and to be precise, during Oluwas regime, the Youth Council was a vibrant force that could stand its own at any given time. Programmes were implemented; events organised. It is also interesting to note that then we had events like Clean Up Ajeromi-Ifelodun, and event I brought down from Australia which the council gave their full backing to. I am not going to talk about other events that myself and some other well meaning youths had severally put together for the survival of the youths in AJIF. Some moribund, while others still existing despite lack of governmental funding and support. I am not going to throw tantrums here, but, the fact still remains that you win some and you lose some. The sustainability of the Youth Council was what led to the sell out cos it was seen that money to fund projects or programmes could come in from those we sold into their hands. However, I am still strong and resolute in whatever capacity I now find myself because, I cant afford to see myself playing so cheaply into the hands of politicians all because I want to get one of two naira from them. God Forbid. I have always made it clear that politics is not my game but whether we like it or not, we are all political animals. Words are not enough to describe how I felt when I discovered that the inculcation of the Political Youths was a complete sell out and a charade by someone I call my friend. They came, they saw and they conquered? Nah that can never be the case because we know how they came, but the problem now is, a lot of my comrades are now in their camp and having joined the train, they decided to pitch tent so as to stay afloat; forgetting the main reason for joining the Youth Council in the first place. So guys, call me whatever you want, I dont fight, but I speak my mind and I go still speak more. So you better hate me or love me..... This is not yet the intro of the three publications I am going to make and also to tell them that I am not a coward as my comments would be published not only on social media, but also on a national print media. Of course they know I have the means to do so.
