Cowboy Boots / Western Boots Fit Tip Here is a great tip for everyone that wants to buy Cowboy/Western boots. Well actually a double tip... Image consultants Watch This. I know 6 image consultants that do not even know this about boots. Tip #1 Western boot size is different than that of you dress shoe or tennis shoes. Example if you wear a 10.5 D in a shoe, then 99% of the time with Western Boots, you are going to be wearing a 9.5 to a 10. There for half size to a full size smaller than what you wear in the shoe. Unless you are wearing a no lace loafer shoe, then the size could be smaller like that of the boot. Now there are a few boot makers that will size their boot to match that of regular dress shoes sizes. Not sure if they still do it or no, Laredo Boots was one of the boot makers that did this. Note if your wearing loafer, start with half a size lager. So when you go to buy boots start with your shoe size then start trying on half size smaller to find a good fit. Tip #2 The heel of your foot should have some slippage in side the boot, it does not then the boot is to tight. The tight and correct fit should be at the Crown of your foot. The attached video will speak about this aspect of boot fit. youtu.be/ig6PcrqTcfQ
