Crab Mentality … … If I didn’t have it – you can’t have it. … If I didn’t do it – you won’t do it … If I didn’t learn it – there no reason why you should … If I don’t know about it – it’s bad for you … It’s bad for you – don’t ask why just do as I say Sadly we still hear these words today but we fail to consider that by continuing this learned mentality … this automatic behavior, we pass on our lack of understanding, our biases and our prejudices to our children (our future) and continue the process of ignorance which limits the abilities of our associates, our friends, our people and our children. If we want our children to be intelligent, able to think for themselves, honest and free – we first need to see this mentality in ourselves and remove it from our reasoning and way of life. Give the children the privilege to think for themselves and learn from their mistakes - no one said that parenting is an easy job. The Children are our Future. If we want to change our Government … if we want to change our Society … We must first find the willingness to change our day to day beliefs, life by what we hope for.... and then we shall succeed. We should not expect our children to be better than us if we make them to become copies of ourselves :(
