Cracked a joke tonight in a private lesson.... what I do working with reactive kennel dogs... said this is why positive reinforcement shows will never make it. Standing for up to hours at a time, taking a second here and there to reward a good reaction from the dog isnt TV worthy lol. Alas...if only it was wed have such a decrease in aggression in DIY methods mimicked off of tv. Remember people aggression begets aggression... and most of the time the jaw dropping moments you see on popular training shows are after hours of the trainer getting that kind of reaction from the dog. You dont want that to happen with your dog, you want to avoid getting your dog to that point. It is a process getting there but Im telling, slow and steady training wins the race!
