Cranium No-Go Zones - To quote Jon Stewart, a purveyor of actual fake news served up as modern satire, to a Faux News (Fox News) Pundit recently, “You have no principle about this. You’re just trying to score points in a game no one else is playing….” Now I personally know very few people who admit to actually watching the Republican Party Fox Noise Channel, let alone take it seriously. But they are definitely out there. I wont deny, Fallacious News is the largest viewed cable news channel. Which even makes the false equivalency argument embarrassed conservatives try to use with the Progressive rival channel msnbc even more humorous and misguided - simply because there is no real equivalency between audience size. Fuked News viewership is often double, if not triple the size. Even more humorously, arguably one of the least partisan channels is the spunky up-start and Arab backed Al Jeerza America. Regardless, I was recently told by a conservative friend, once again attempting to make the false equivalency argument with respect to my watching of msnbc, that I shouldnt use any cable news channel for my source of news or determining the legitimacy of opinion. But the truth is, there truly isnt an equivalency to be found between most any national cable news channel and False News. The rest of the informed world doesnt look down on Fake News or its viewership because theyre the largest - certainly no one did the same of CBSs Walter Cronkite or Edward R. Murrow when they dominated the news airwaves. Phony News is made fun of because they are the clown car of news. The best retort made by this behemoth organization is that their critics represent the Lame-Stream Media (Mainstream Media) comprised solely of liberal intellectual elites. The irony of which is clearly lost on this the largest of media outlets, with their domination in the majority of all viewership segments (albeit old white men being their true bread and butter). They ARE the mainstream media, by definition. Not that theyre expected to own dictionaries, grant you. That said, admittedly no one is graduating from respected schools of Journalism in America clamoring to work at Flaky News. So there is some truth that the academic world does believe itself elite to whatever is passed off as journalism on Felonious News. But doesnt that, in and of itself, offer the real condemnation of Fox Nasty Channel? One doesnt have to be intellectual or educated or serious to be rich, or successful, or famous, or even in the majority of opinion or beliefs. But one should be a serious, educated and intelligent when a presenter of news to the larger society. Granted - Free Speech certainly dictates otherwise. Which might be part of the reason Fox Negative Channel wraps itself so tightly in the American Flag and the U.S. Constitution. Because because Free-Speech doesnt mean Factual-Speech... and, I promise you, no one is going to get the joke if I referred to Fox News as Fact News. For Funny News, those are two words that are most definitely mutually exclusive.
