Crap. Its no longer safe to fly! Im hearing people say. Eh hello. Let me help you a bit with that statement. While the recent incidents have been tragic (and let me remind you that I did have extended relatives on board MH370), saying its no longer safe to fly is a bit overly-dramatic. The World Health Organization (WHO) says approximately 1.24 million people die each year on the worlds roads. Our country alone sees around 6,000 deaths a year from road accidents. Thats 16 deaths a day. We Malaysians are so lousy on the road, were actually ranked 20th in the world for road-related fatalities. The worst year in GLOBAL commercial aviation history in terms of fatalities was way back in 1972, with 3,346 deaths. Thats more than 40 years ago. Considering that these days there are around 30 million commercial flight departures annually, how unsafe is that compared to you getting into your car? Tolong jangan drama la boleh tak. Just grief in silence, and save yourselves from sounding stupid.
