Crawford Fund Fellowship Programme in Agriculture and Environment 2014 May 23, 2014 Deadline: 30 June 2014 Applicants from selected developing countries are invited to submit applications for Crawford Fund Fellowship Programme in the field of agriculture, fisheries, forestry or environmental protection. The Crawford Fund is a non-profit, non-government organization, dedicated to raising awareness of the benefits to developing countries and to Australia of international agricultural research. The successful recipient shall spend up to three months at an Australian institution receiving further training in an aspect of agricultural research or resource development. The training shall have relevance to the needs of the recipient’s home country and the benefits that may accrue from the award of the Fellowship. Note: The Recipient shall be required to return to his/her home country at the end of the Fellowship. The Recipient shall be required to submit to the Executive Director, The Crawford Fund, within one month of completing the Fellowship, a written report summarizing the training activities undertaken, and indicating potential benefits from the training to the Recipient’s home country including an outline of plans for applying the knowledge gained in the Recipient’s home country to increase agricultural production. The Recipient should also comment on aspects of the Fellowship that may benefit future Recipients. Eligibility criteria: The Fellowship is open to citizens of selected developing countries. i.e Bangladesh, Bhutan, Burma, Cambodia, East Timor, Fiji, Indonesia, Laos, Nepal, Niue, Papua New Guinea, Samoa, Solomon Islands, Tonga, Tuvalu and Kiribati, Vanuatu, Vietnam. The successful recipient will be below the age of 35 years on 1 January in the year of the Fellowship Award. Nominees will be actively engaged in the practice of some aspect of agricultural research or extension and may be undertaking formal postgraduate study.
