Craxy weather were having - after the orange alert on Friday warning of high temperatures, 14 provinces in Spain are now being warned of heavy thunderstorms and showers. A yellow alert risk has been given to the northern part of Galicia, Navarra, Huesca, Zaragoza, Teruel, north of Castellón, Tarragona, Barcelona, Girona and Lleida whereas in the south the alert is orange meaning there is significant risk. Also two more yellow risk alerts affect the Island of Menorca and shoreline of Malaga, Granada and Almeria The Island of Menorca is expected to suffer stormy seas so care should be taken if going out to sea. Along the Andalucian coast the warning has been given that the waves are more dangerous with a warning that ‘coastal phenomena’ may occur along the shore of the Alborán Sea. Lower temperatures and strong winds will hit the peninsular in the next few days so if you are heading to Spain bring a brolly with you!
