Broad St. on the evening of Jan. 16. The actor(s) entered the residence and stole a LG G Pad 7.0 and a checkbook, police said. Man admits to propane tank theft A Weatherly man was charged after admitting to taking a woman’s propane tank Dec. 22. Thomas W. Ladner, 60, was charged with theft and receiving stolen property by state police at Hazleton. The charges were filed Jan. 5 and issued via summons, which he accepted Jan. 8, according to a court docket. Arrest papers state several neighbors told the victim that Ladner took one of two full propane tanks from her former home at 42 Hess Lane, Foster Township. The victim paid Superior Plus Energy $89 for the tank, and Superior Plus Energy said the tank was valued at $789. Ladner told troopers he took the tank because the woman owed him money, court papers state, and the investigating trooper told him that he still had no authority to take the tank.
