Crazy Rocks/Story Time week - Not a crazy rock, this starts with going after Obsidian (pic 1) while in Utah. Off in the distance a heavy rain storm (pic 2) passed to the west of us, lasting maybe a half hour. We never got wet! In heading up into the foothills, we noticed up the road a black rolling wave of water, sticks and rocks coming at us. We were not in a deep ravine, but the road was the lowest point. Pic 3 shows the road where the flash flood passed us, as we did turn up a road going uphill. We had to wait about an hour before we could leave. The truck ended up a little dirty, but no damage other than an elevated heart rate by all. The last pic shows the flood after it subsided a couple miles down the road from where we were. It was not a loss as we got several 5 gallons bucket of Obsidian!!!!
