Crazy day today at work with having to be in Herndon VA all day but today being Pregnancy and Infant Loss day was never far from my thoughts. Today we remember all of those who have lost a child due to stillbirth, miscarriage or infant death. As a mom and a survivor of infant death, it is a heartbreaking, forever life changing event to lose a child. I am 1 in 4 who loses a child. 13 years ago I felt so alone in my loss but sadly, we are not alone. Today we remember all of the beautiful babies who have gone before us. I know without a doubt my beautiful daughter, Kayla Kristina Smith, is in her forever home and the time I held her was a blessing and a gift but I know I will see her again one day.
