Crazy good not-turkey dinner with Sarah Hochschwender and Pedro Squella. Spiced cashews with candied bacon and a pomegranate-pineapple Cosmopolitan. First plate: roast duck with sour cherry gastrique, atop roasted root vegetables and garlic. Segura Viudas reserva alongside, then a deliciously ripe pear, then prasa (Turkish leeks and tomatoes) as a palate cleanser. Second plate: Garlic-stuffed boneless roast leg of lamb with garlicky roasted Brussels sprouts and roasted potatoes. Beautiful Chilean red wine. Then cashews in dark chocolate and Warres Warrior Porto Reserve.
