Crazy thing happened tonight at dinner with Michael Finch... Realized its my birthday on Monday. So much has happened in my life recently I seriously havent thought about it at all. Then on the ride home this song comes on the radio and it made me realize that your birthday really isnt really about yourself. Its about the people that brought you into this world, who taught you how to fend for yourself and gave you the courage when it was your time to fly. I remember when the greatest momma, Donna Glad Porretta, chaperoned my eighth grade dance and tried to get me to get out there when this same song came on...I didnt back then, but I did when it was my time. Momma, you taught me how to dance, Louis Porretta you taught me how to fight for what mattered most, baby sisters you taught me patience and how important it was to protect what you love. Weve all only made it this far, marked by a yearly anniversary of survival, because the ones we love believed in us and were always there when we needed. So dont forget to dance when you get the chance, any time and every time. Love you all.
