Apart from Canberra’s well known landmarks like Parliament House and Telstra Tower, Ben said Canberra’s most photogenic feature is its natural beauty. “What inspires me is nature and the many different faces it has. The beauty within Canberra is everywhere and there is always the unexpected within every scene I find myself in,” Ben said. “Sunrises and sunsets are clear and spectacular in Canberra.” Ben said he uses minimal editing, but when he does he likes to highlight the feature of a picture with Adobe photoshop and he also uses iPhone editing apps such as Instagram and phototoaster. “I rarely throw a photo away, because there is always a hidden gem in those you don’t think are any good. You can always zoom in and highlight it with new eyes later,” he said. When it comes to his favourite things to photograph in Canberra, the answer is hot air balloons. “The Balloons every year are an obvious highlight, something I have captured often.” Message us if you have a story to share. instagram/benzone
