Loans amounting to Rs. 900 crore have been waived off, benefiting 4.1 9 lakh farmers . . Coverage amount under the Farmer Accident Insurance Scheme has been increased to Rs. 5 lakh from Rs. 1 lakh. S Farmers are being provided free water for irrigation purposes. . Distribution of incentives to farmers for progressive & standardised seeds, bio-pesticides and bio-agents, tractors, power tillers, power thresher, boring , etc. . 7.91 lakh farmer families were given Kisan Credit Cards till July 2013. Target of providing 43.92 lakh new Kisan Credit Cards in the year 2013-14. S Started implementing “Bhoomi Sena Yojna” to help farmers make barren, unproductive and flood-affected lands suitable for agriculture. Kanya Vidya Dhan and Lapto p schemes for facilitation of higher education , Allowance to unemployed . In the financial year 2012-13, an amount of Rs. 856.25 crore was distributed to 2,85, 417 girl students under the Kanya Vidya Dhan scheme that was launched to promote girl education and to encourage girl students belonging to financially weaker families for higher studies. Provision of Rs. 300 crore to build compound walls around the graveyards used by minority communities so as to prevent encroachments and to safeguard the same. . 82, 916 girl students from minority communities were given Rs. 250 crore in the year 2012-13 under the Hamaari Beti Uska Kal scheme. The scheme aims at providing a lump sum incentive of Rs. 30,000 for further studies or marriage of girl students from minority communities. Provi- Sian of Rs. 350 crore has been made under this scheme to benefit 1.15 Iakh girls in the year 201 3-14. . Provision of Rs. 400 crores to provide free houses to the urban poor and families belonging to minority communities under the ‘Aasara’ scheme. . Launched new scheme of establishing multi-purpose educational hubs in minority dominant areas. Welfare of labourers and weavers . Rs. 1 20 crore are approved for payment of outstanding electricity bills of power loom weavers. Health insurance scheme for the welfare of handloom weavers. . Implementation of Children Benefit Scheme, Motherhood Benefit Scheme, Accident Assistance Scheme, Medhavi Chhatra Puraskar Scheme, Death and Funeral Assistance Scheme , Scheme for Financial Assistance for purchasing tools and Solar Energy Assistance Scheme for the welfare of labourers. . Provision of Rs. 400 crore for the scheme of giving motor/battery/solar energy powered rickshaws to rickshaw pullers for providing them relief. . Provision of Rs. 800 crore to provide two sarees each to all the women of age 1 8 and above and one blanket each to senior citizens age 65 and above, belonging to B.RL. families. Integrated village development . Infrastructure and other development programmes are in progress under Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Samagra Gram Vikas Yojna to be implemented in 1 0, 000 villages in 5 years. . Provision of Rs. 520 crore under the Lohia Gramin Awaas Yojna. Provision of solar lights in Lohia Awaas. All district headquarters are being connected with four lane roads. . All unconnected villages/habitats are being connected with permanent roads. Increase of Honorarium . LOKTANTRA SENANI Honorarium increased from Rs. 1000 to Rs. 3000. . Anganwaadi workers will now receive a honorarium of Rs. 3000 instead of Rs. 1 000 and their assistants will get Rs. 1 500 instead of Rs. 750 per month. S Gram Rojgar Sevaks, employed under MNREGA , to assist the Gram Panchayats will now be given honorarium of Rs. 3300 per month instead of Rs. 2500. Redressal of public grievances . Operating ‘Women Power Line 1 090’ to prevent crimes against women. . Facility to receive 26 services/c ertificates from 8 departments of government through Lokvani and Janseva Kendras. . Started facility of ‘Janata Darshan’ for quick redressal of public grievances. . Organisation of ‘Tehsil Diwas’ on first and third Tuesday of every month for the redressal of public grievances.
