Creative Cruelty. Until couple of years back I used to be a very aggressive person. Short tempered and I never let anyone pass me who even pat on my back. Then things changed. I pissed off my darling girl which changed everything. From a man who lace everything he says with profanity I changed to some one who speaks with politeness. I left my short temper to dust and took patience and kindness as my hobby. I quit smoking and now in the process of getting rid of all the excess weigh I gained. Everything going good until three weeks back. There is a guy called Balu who kept on emailing me with resumes of people looking for IT jobs. I pleaded to him saying that I am not an IT recruiter and he should be sending these resumes or profiles of candidates to IT companies. Balu kept on emailing and last week I told him to please stop sending these emails which I see as spam. He didnt stop at all. So dusting off my old ways and thought about calling him names and contacting his company and yelling at them with profanity, yeah I thought of it all. But you know what I am not that man anymore so I thought creative cruelty is the way to go. So I wrote to Mr.Balu an email and here it is, “Hey Balu, Do you have any good looking girl aged between 21 and 25... I will return her without much damage after an hour...” Thats it, the emails from Balu stopped. Even though it didnt made me feel really good doing that, sometimes thats what it takes to get some guys to stop spamming my inbox. I am not proud of what I said but I am proud of not using any words profanity. Maybe it takes some more time to disassociate with my old ways altogether, maybe I need a bit more support from people I pissed off in my early days. Lot of maybe but one thing is sure I am going ahead not falling back, still when people like Balu comes around, sometimes when nothing works, creative cruelty will end up the only way to pursue.
