Crescent Lake and Chauncey Peak Meriden, CT Saturday July 6, 2013 This late addition to our schedule is not listed in the 2013 catalog. This 4.7-mile hike covers some rough but very doable terrain and rewards us with unsurpassed views that are well worth the climb. We will begin our outing with a flat 2-mile trek around Crescent Lake, formerly called Bradley Hubbard Reservoir. After our warm up, we will follow the blue blazes up the steep half-mile climb to Chauncey Peak and some spectacular views of Meriden, New Haven and Hartford. We will skirt the edge of the cliffs and circle along the ridge past a working quarry below on our right and Crescent Lake on our left.
