Cresta Hotels comes to Victoria Falls. If you need a 3-star property at Vic Falls, this may be an option: The newly refurbished Cresta Sprayview at Victoria Falls – previously the Sprayview Hotel – will open in August. Cresta Hotels has taken up a lease agreement from the hotel’s long-time owners, which sees the creation of a three-star hotel that will target local and international leisure and conference visitors. The US$1.5 million refurbishment and Cresta’s move into Victoria Falls comes just ahead of the General Assembly meeting of the United Nations World Tourism Organisation (UNWTO) in Victoria Falls in August. The refurbished hotel, which is just over a km from the Falls, will have 65 bedrooms, a restaurant, two bars, three conference rooms, a swimming pool and a garden. “We noted the need to offer a new and improved product in the three-star market and our investment is aimed at filling this need with an exciting new hotel that has both its own history as well as the new strength of the Cresta management and marketing thrust,” says Cresta CEO, Glenn Stutchbury.
