Crews called to garage fire in Mayfield ift.tt/YpoSFn Firefighters tackled a garage fire at a property in Mayfield last night (7th September). Four crews were mobilised to a cottage in Cinder Hill at 8.54pm and remained at the incident until 11.45pm. Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used two hose reel jets and 1-in-7 foam to tackle the blaze. Crews then spent time damping down and checking for hotspots, once the fire was out, and a fire investigation is now underway. A re-inspection was then carried out at 3.00am this morning (8th September) to ensure that the fire had not reignited.
