Cricket academy to be opened on Yashodhara Raje’s initiative — By FREE PRESS NEWS SERVICE, May 18, 2014 12:39 am Scindia is making plan for expansion of the Shivpuri stadium SHIVPURI: The Shivpuri MLA and minister of sports Yashodhara Raje Scindia is willing to get the national-level recognition to the stadium at Shivpuri. According to sources, the cricket academy would be set up in the city on her initiative and internationally renowned cricketer Madanlal would train the players. The sources said Scindia is making plan for expansion of the Shivpuri stadium. It would be beautified and given a more attractive semblance. While a running track would be developed in the stadium its crumbing hostel would also be renovated. The minister for sports on Saturday talked to the director of sports and other senior officials and issued instruction after holding discussion with them.During her last visit to Shivpuri, Scindia inspected arrangements at the stadium and told the officials about the expansion plan. She asked them about what could be done for making it nationally recognised.
