Crikey, Myki. I was trying to tag off a tram at a stop near the National Gallery of Victoria on Thursday when the *&^% driver started to close the door and move off, crushing my shoulder and causing me to fall out, twisting my ankles and falling flat on my back on the platform.Several people jumped out and helped me up and one kind young woman offered to her name and contact in case I wanted a witness. Nah, it was an accident but boy was I in pain and hobbled to the Southbank campus of the Uni of Melbourne where I was going to do presentation later that day at the IAML Conference. My ankle has been swollen up and now has gone an interesting black and purple while my right arm aches and I can;t raise it or extend it so making driving difficult. Going to work on Tuesday will be fun. Oh, and when I mentioned my adventure at the conference the locals all yelled that you dont actually tag off with Myki cards even though it says to do so, unlike MyWay cards in Canberra where if you dont you get charged the maximum rate. I followed the natives and things went a lot smoother.
