Crikey! Theres just two weeks left to put your name in the hat for the rollercoaster ride (but not a scary one) that is the #YUSUelections2014! You have until 31 January to get your name in to run for anything from Union President to Policy Coordinator, from Womens Officer to Student Trustee. But dont be too worried. Nominating yourself is as easy as going to yusu.org/elections and filling in a short form. You dont even need to have a full manifesto prepared until 7 Feb (Week 5). For those who have already nominated themselves, from this week youll have the opportunity to meet a mentor from YUSU this week to help you think about your manifesto and how to campaign for your position. The sooner you nominate yourself, the earlier youll be able to get help. Once again, were excitedly waiting for nominations from anyone, no matter your course, your nationality or your experience - anyone can run. If you have any concerns or feel youd need help to run for election, feel free to email [email protected] No matter what position you run for, youre bound to get some great experiences out of it, whether that be in networking, campaigns, events, creating policy or representing students! Your YUSU Officers will be in different places around campus this week, on hand to talk to students about anything, including the elections. Theyll be in the Kitchen on Tuesday from 14:45 to 16:15 and in Kings Manor on Thursday from 11:45 - 13:15. Inspire. Change. Lead. #YUSUelections2014
