Crime Prevention Tip: All personnel living on Kadena Air Base are reminded to lock their house doors when not at home and when turning in for the night. Leaving house doors unlocked makes it easy for perpetrators to access homes and help themselves to your valuables. Furthermore, leaving doors unlocked provides unimpeded access by perpetrators resulting in little to no evidence of a crime being left behind. Personnel who experience a theft are asked to not contaminate the crime scene and contact the Base Defense Operations Center at 634-2475 immediately. The same applies to vehicles. Do not leave valuables in your vehicles and secure your car doors when not in use.
