Crime Preventions Tip - the PREMISE ALERT program: Premise - TopicsExpress

Crime Preventions Tip - the PREMISE ALERT program: Premise Alert is a program offering guidance and direction to public safety workers who respond to those citizens with special needs or disabilities. Information pertaining to where participants live, work and attend school is collected, giving first responders a valuable resource when they respond to an emergency situation with the individual. A database that is accessible to the 911 Communications Center dispatchers stores the information so that it can be relayed to public safety personnel who respond to a call for service involving a program participant. Some reasons why people participate include: Diabetic—Insulin dependent, Parkinsons, Downs Syndrome, wheel chair bound, deaf, blind, unable to speak, Alzheimers, Bipolar Disorder, Autistic, oxygen use in home, defibrillator and many more. If there is something that a first responder should know to better assist you or a loved one, you should consider registering for Premise Alert .
