Crime Preventions Tip - the YELLOW DOT program: Yellow Dot is a program designed to provide vital medical information regarding vehicle drivers and passengers. If you or someone you transport has a medical condition that first responders should know about when responding to a crash in order to provide the best care possible, you should look into Yellow Dot. The Yellow Dot decal is placed on the driver’s side rear window of the vehicle. This alerts first responders to the vital medical information that can be found on the information folder in the glove compartment. This yellow personal information folder will contain a current photograph, name, emergency contacts, physician info and medical condition and medication info. Whether sharing information about your personal medical needs or providing information about a loved one with Alzheimers or other medical condition that would limit his or her ability to answer first responders’ questions, Yellow Dot could make a difference.
