Crime alert: I had to go to the ENGLISH FARM today which is off of School Road in Archdale and I found the home broken into and ransacked as well as vandalized. The perps used rocks and bricks on the windows and doors and used a scythe to cut holes in the walls as well as destroying windows in this turn of the century farmhouse. They went into all the buildings on the property and as of now, I have no idea if anything was taken. The owners, Jim and Neurus English met the APD there and by then I had to leave for another appointment. It is obvious that they walked in since both gates are kept locked with padlocks and the house did have an alarm but I dont know if it was set or not. This was a clear case of some one or more wanting to purposely damage this property and create cost to the owners. There will be some pictures available later on that I will post if the owners allow me too....if not, anyone that has any information that could help in catching the perpetrators would be greatly appreciated. Since the gates were locked, it certainly appears that they walked into the property. No tracks were found at the scene.....My guesstimate is they did about $20K in damage.....best accounts is this happened between Saturday the 9th and when I found it around 2:20 today.....thanks for your help.
