Crime spree ends with three arrests On Sunday, August 24, at approximately 2:30 AM, Deputies from the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to the 1500 block of Lake Robbins, in The Woodlands, Texas. Two individuals reported they were sitting in their car in a parking space when three armed actors robbed them at gunpoint. Reportedly after taking their wallet and purse, they fled the location in a vehicle. The complainants were able to give a description of the actors and an actor vehicle. The description of the actors and the actor vehicle were similar to suspect information in a robbery that occurred a short time earlier in Harris County. The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office Communication Center put out a description of the actors and actor vehicle. At approximately 3:00 AM, Deputies from the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to the Denny’s restaurant, in the 6100 block of FM 1488, in Magnolia. Reportedly the actors entered the location and robbed the business and individuals at the location at gunpoint. A customer who was in the restaurant at the time told the Tribune that the suspects took his wallet, along with other customers wallets and purses. He also said the suspects put a gun to the managers head and demanded the safe be opened. The actors in that robbery match the description of the robberies reported earlier in the Woodlands and Harris County. Deputies passed on a description of the actors and actor’s vehicle. A short time later, Officers with the Oak Ridge North Police Department spotted a vehicle traveling southbound on Interstate 45, in Oak Ridge North, fitting the suspect vehicle description given just earlier. Additionally, the vehicle contained individuals fitting the description of the suspects in the earlier robberies. Oak Ridge North Police Officers stopped the vehicle on traffic. When the vehicle stopped, one occupant in the vehicle fled on foot while three others stayed in the vehicle. The subject that fled on foot has not been located at this time. Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office Major Crimes Detectives were called to the scene. After an investigation by Detectives, all three subjects that remained in the vehicle were arrested and charged with the robbery on Lake Robbins and the robbery at Denny’s. All three subjects are additionally being identified as suspects in numerous other similar aggravated robberies of individuals and businesses in Montgomery and Harris Counties, as several other Denny’s and IHOP locations have been robbed at gunpoint in recent weeks. The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office is still attempting to identify the fourth person involved in the robberies.
