Crimes Against Nature and Humanity by the Hominid Lizards of Oz Future generations will damn the likes of Colin Barnett, Tony Abbott and Greg Hunt for the ecological sins they are committing today. This massacre of sharks is simply happening because these men wish to spit in the face of the Greens, of conservationists and the public. To slaughter endangered species is a crime against nature and thus a crime against humanity. Australia needs an Abbott proof fence to restrain Colin the Grim Reaper Barnett and Greg the Promise Breaker Hunt. Both the Liberals and Labor have demonstrated that they do not represent the future of Australia. They represent only those in the present who take and give nothing back. Australia is rapidly becoming an embarrassment and only the Greens will be able to save this nation from the forces of greed and ecological terrorism represented by these bought and paid for whorish politicians whose priorities are self aggrandizement as they continue to serve themselves, the mine owners, the logging corporations, the oil industry and not their country or their people. Australians, all Australians and this means sharks, koalas, kangaroos, wombats, Tasmanian devils, kookaburras, whales and all the wonderful diversity of life need representation before they go the way of the Tasmanian tiger. For 60,000 years the Aboriginal people lived on this unique continent without doing a fraction of the damage done by the European invaders in only the last 200 years and 90% of the damage has occurred in the last 60 years. But the one light of hope remains, and that is the passion and the courage of young Australians today, of all ethnic backgrounds who are striving to be good caretakers of a land that needs shepherds and not the barbaric plundering represented by Tony Abbott and Colin Barnett. There are two types of Australians today. Those motivated by greed and those motivated by the love of the land and sea. To borrow and expand on the words of John F. Kennedy. Ask not what Australia can give to you but rather ask what can you give to Australia. I am not an Australian but I have been granted the honor of being given an Aboriginal passport and our ships fly the Aboriginal flag and the majority of our crews each year are Australian. I see the desire and the enthusiasm in the eyes of our Australian volunteers young and old to protect and defend the gifts that nature has bestowed upon them. They are the true representatives of Australia because they represent the interests of millions of Australians as yet unborn. They represent all the disenfranchised non-human citizens of the land and sea and it is they who will be recognized by future generations as the heroes of their generation whereas the takers like Abbott and Barnett will be the ogres and ecological vandals who crawled up out of the dark pit of hell to ravish and despoil the land. A few days ago Tony Abbott gave a talk to the wood-chippers who want to ravish the forests of Tasmania. In his speech to the woodchippers, Abbott referred to the Greens as the devil and hammered out an Old Testament/Manifest Destiny notion that the environment is meant for man. Abbott looked out at the audience and said: I dont see people who are environmental bandits, I see people who are the ultimate conservationists. I salute you. You intelligently make the most of the good things God has given us. The sad part of this is that his words were not even original. They were taken directly from the speeches of James Watt, the Secretary of the Interior under the Ronald Reagan administration who created the wise use movement and who said that Jesus will be upset if we do no use all the gifts he has given us. He also said he was not worried about future generations because we were on the eve of the apocalypse and there was no need to be concerned for the people of the future because there will be no future generations and we will all be happy in heaven. These are the people working to fulfill their own prophecies and they represent a real and present danger to the survival of humanity. And they forget that ultimately the people will not fear their governments because history has taught us that it is governments that should be fearful of their people. Abbotism has invaded Australia like a creeping rot, destroying forests and marine sanctuaries, eating away at the Great Barrier reef, massacring sharks, disrespecting the Aboriginal people, brutalizing refugees and intent on the destruction of compassion, altruism, intelligence and kindness. Like the introduction of the rabbit and the cane toad, he and his cronies are the latest invasive species and whereas Australia once erected a rabbit proof fence they now need to build an Abbot-proof fence to contain this monster before he destroys the nation.
